Í'm a fan of our native sheep. But, sometimes they seem like a very fragile species and it's a constant struggle to even maintain their populations. I'm in no way saying this is right, but I have selfishly wondered if we'd just be better off importing asian sheep and ibex....

Besides age, what factors contribute to a bull losing it's facial hair (climate, habitat, etc)? Seems like even old bulls from SA retain more facial hair. Is there a certain area one would hunt for this type of old, ugly bull?

I got an cheap Lectric XP 2.0 primarily for around town and am impressed. I dont think it would be a great choice for serious/continuous off-roading, but would do fine on dirt roads/decent trails. I get about 20 miles of range on pavement. They run about $1k.

Just got a pair of the Kowa BD II’s in 6.5x32 and am impressed for the price ($370 if you shop around). They also come in 8 and 10 power (got these for hunting in timber). I also have swaros in 10x, so I’m used to good Bono’s.
