    450gr .458 sectional density is .306.... 350gr .375 sectional density is .356.... Huge differance and not comparible.... Both at 2300fps the 375 will outperform the 458 by a long margin....

    A seladang is a Gaur this looks like a cow.... In Thailand there were 150 Gaur at the turn of the century and less than 1000 in 1990.... Never knew that hunting them was allowed..

    Strange.....Con van Wyk was not in Zim in 1982 he was in RSA......having fled Zim with his pregnant wife, Marilyn and first child....only returning couple of years later. He also only qualified as a PH in 1987.

    Not possible.....no elephant exceeding 120lb has been hunted in Bots. The biggest Zim one was 136lbs on 1 tusk. In total only about 24 elephants ever hunted exceeded 150lbs... Tusks are way too thin and short for 153lbs(each).....my 2c

    SD is one of the most important for penetration but so is bullet nose design(meplat vs round nose) and then adequite velocity. A 570gr. Meplat brass solid travelling at 2250 to 2350fps from a 500 Jeff will out penetrate any of the above by a long margin.
