Hello All,

With all my interest in rifles built by Jack Lott, I'm thinking I should actually own one in his 458 Lott caliber. I don't have one yet.

I don't want anything brand new, like CZ or Ruger, etc. I would like something converted / custom built on a vintage rifle from the 60's or 70's or 80's.

Let me know if you have something.

Thanks

Hello 375 Ruger Fan,

I've seen all those listed on Gunbroker, Guns International, Guns America, etc.

None of those are what I'm seeking. I'm looking for a rifle that might have been made during the "Jack Lott era".

Hello All,

Well, my search is over.

Thanks to all that sent pictures and suggestions.

Seems kind of prophetic, although I started out looking for a 458 Lott, I ended up buying a pre-64 Winchester in "450 Watts" caliber. Close enough. I'll do a write-up with pictures when I get the rifle in hand. It made a trip to Africa back in the 70's.

I live in Tyler Texas. I like Ruger single action revolvers Ruger rifles, and Marlin and Winchester lever guns.

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel
