  • Hi Dr Ray. My name is J. I'm a new Member. I've started my first Thread today in the "375 and Up" category. I was hoping you might Weigh In. I am considering a Sako Brown Bear. If you might give your thoughts I would greatly appreciate it. Best Regards, J.

I must have missed this. My apologies. The Brown Bear is an excellent rifle! With a low mounted scope you MAY have issues when ejecting the empty case as it MAY hit the scope and drop back into the action.
I really love my Sakos! (In case you missed that point)!
G'day Dr Ray, I hope and pray you've not been flooded out up there; our rain in Brownsville (well, not an more :) is useful but NOTHING like what I hear of Cairns! Stay safe, and good hunting, when you can get out again.....
    Dear Dr Ray
Congratulations wit your birthday. May this year bring you to Africa, Namibia... We wish you a year filled with straight shooting.
    Kowas team.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.
