I've seen quite a few posts regarding kudu lately so I thought I'd add mine. These pictures were taken about as far upstream as you can get on the Luangwa river before you hit Malawi. I shot this fellow the year before Zambia shutdown to 'sort out' their concessions. I've hunted in many spots in Africa since, but I have never seen a bigger bodied kudu. I don't really know much about measuring, but the mass of this kudu had me curious as the horns seem very heavy. A quick check of the circumference at the base was roughly 11". He was a very old animal.

That is a very healthy prime Kudu Bull.

Wow, what a Kudu!

Great bull!

One lucky guy! Fine kudu! Congratulations!

that is a beast!!!

What were you up there hunting? (besides the Kudu)

Looks more like an Eland being loaded in the truck than a kudu.

My first kudu was big bodied but nothing like that.

He’s fantastic! Congratulations!

That is one beautiful Kudu bull, I can only imagine what a feeling that was taking down a monster!!!

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
