Had this very conversation with the PHs immediately afterwards and apparently it isn't all that unusual. When you take out the alpha female the others often turn on her if they sense any weakness. I have only seen this once before when taking out a Tom turkey the jakes pounced on him and give him a good goin over.

I thought i would update this thread with a couple of pics on the taxidermy process. The first pic is of the form and the next three are of the progress so far without the base and finishing yet to be done. Must say that i am pretty happy with how its turning out so far!

I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
