A rare white buffalo has been sighted in Tarangire National Park attracting hundreds who were eager to catch a glimpse of the animal for the first time in life.

The buffalo was spotted on Monday in the park, in an area where animals gather to drink water and causing many tourists who were in the reserve to start following him but also started attracting researchers to the area.

The buffalo was bigger than the rest of the herd and was seen mixing freely with the rest of the herd, most of the time standing in the middle.

From the look of things the white buffalo has been part of the herd for a very long time given the kind of association it had with the others with some observers saying it could have been born in the peripheries of the park.

White buffalos are rare, according to conservationists, just one out of every 10 million buffalo born are white and they are also considered sacred amongst certain communities.

I would leave him. Kinda cool to see and I would always wonder is his calf's would then be kinda golden?

I'd wait until he's out of the breeding age, a great mature dagga boy. By that time you'll know if he passed on his white gene.

THAT would make a great mount that would be... one in ten million!

ps... trophy fee should be less than normal as he'll be easier to spot in dense shadow. ;)

Interesting that he got to that age without getting noticed earlier-or maybe he did and we were just slow to know about it. Also interesting that predators never singled him out and ate him-Buffalo, the other white meat! Imagine the roar from non hunters if he were to be killed outside the park!

Very interesting, i would love to know more about this buff. Anyone that thinks this is the first that this buff was seen does not know africa.

I'm surprised he was not kicked out of the herd for being different.

Maybe 'marginalized groups' of humans can find their utopia by living in herds of inclusive Cape Buffalo? I would pay to send the first full flight. With so many Americans hating America. We should have plenty of volunteers.

We have many white deer around here and have for years. I have yet to see one being singled out by the others.

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
