Picked up a dayton trigger on ebay that was labeled for P17 enfield awhile ago. Pretty sure it is an older model. It doesn't have a part no on it or any ID other than brand info.

I dropped my neighbors 1917 out of the stock to swap triggers yesterday. It doesn't seem to line up, the sear is much too short. It's 0.964" from the center of the pin hole to the face of the sear. I've overlayed it with the original P17 issue trigger to show the difference in length.

Is there any way this is part of the cock on open conversion. If so, a lot of metal would have to be removed from the tang.

Anybody have any idea what this trigger fits?

Thanks again for your support on the Rhodesian Shotgun thread. From the amount of "LIKES" it received, it appears there was only ONE person who objected. Hes also the same one who continually insisted on interjecting his posts that werent relevant to the thread.
