Good day AH community!

As we reflect on a truly incredible 2022 season we find ourselves itching to get back out there and look for the Dugga boys that got away! We are looking set for our best ever year in terms of age and trophy quality in our areas. Whether its a scrumcap bull or a 48 inch monster a few hunters are going to get very lucky next year!

Those of you who have hunted Cape Buffalo will know exactly why its such an addictive hunt and a hunt that deserves all the respect and prestige afforded to it! If you could bottle the feeling of your first buffalo and sell it you'd most definitely be a wealthy man!

Buffalo are truly a noble adversary and it is for this reason that we at Bayly Sippel Hunting Safaris choose to conduct our hunts to the highest standard. Hard hunting on foot by taking the freshest tracks from the day before. The days are very long, consisting mainly of following tracks at a painstakingly slow pace, sweeping roads & checking waterholes. The hunting is fair chase and we will target old bulls as a preference. We have 2 primary locations (both our home bases) that we do our buffalo hunts on. The physical demands of the one concession require a hunter to have extremely high levels of fitness as well as a good back and the other hunt is a bit more forgiving for someone who may require easier walking. Depending on a hunters physical abilities we will chose either one of the two areas. The bush varies from very thick thorn bush to semi-open savannah. The bulls we are hunting carry the Madikwe bloodline, some of the largest buffalo in Southern Africa with a brain and attitude to match. We hunt large self sustaining herds however the older bulls tend to walk alone or in small Dugga boy groups.

If you can successfully hunt one of our buffalo you will have bragging rights at having successfully done one of the hardest buffalo hunts in South Africa!

Thank you very much for the kind words @jlb1036! It was one hell of an adventure we had! Definetly a hunt not to be forgotten anytime soon! Looking forward to settling that score on the Kudu next time! Hopefully we can find that monster!

For anyone interested in the reserve hunt that Jo did please see the link below for 2023:

Hi @Kevin Peacocke,

Thank you very much! Next year is going to be simply unreal! Our two areas for this hunt are Madikwe East Private Game reserve close to the Botswana border (about 3 and a quarter hours drive from OR Tambo) and then our Limpopo North home base. This is close to the town of Dendron (about 4 hours and 10 minutes form OR Tambo). Both are in the Limpopo province.

Kind regards,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel

Hi @HuntingGold,

We would be honored to host you on a buff hunt for your 55th birthday! We can promise to do our absolute best to find you something so truly ancient and ugly that you will have no choice but to leave it in Africa!! :p:ROFLMAO:

As for the locations we will just copy paste the reply we posted to @Kevin Peacocke .

Here is a little video where you get to "meet" us and we explain a bit more:

Hi @Fixfire,

Hopefully in our previous replies above we answered a few of your questions! Please do take the time to look at the videos that show off the accommodation's as well as our informational video. Please note however our new honeymoon suite is not shown in the Madikwe video as it was completed after the video was already finished. Unfortunately we will not be at SCI next year. We have for the last few years done the European circuit and will be doing so again in 2023. We are however more than happy to jump on the phone with you should you wish? We are available on cell, WhatsApp call and Facebook messenger call. As for the acreage -Madikwe is 12,000 acres and Limpopo North is 3700 acres. If you are looking for a bigger area feel free to look at this hunt as well:

Kind regards,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel

Thanks again for your support on the Rhodesian Shotgun thread. From the amount of "LIKES" it received, it appears there was only ONE person who objected. Hes also the same one who continually insisted on interjecting his posts that werent relevant to the thread.
