Hi,

I have been looking at the shot placement images which are great.

Does anyone have an image they can share of the bushbuck recommended shot placement?

I am pretty much 100% where I would place my shot.

Either just behind the shoulder?

Or possibly better to anchor the animal, a high shoulder shot?

1/3 of the way up on or just behind the shoulder. Quartering away or towards, aim for the farthest shoulder or the V created between the two.

Pretty much the same for all our PG.

I think Justin has it right. The PH I've used as told me that same shot placement for every animal I've taken so far.

Just behind the shoulder (Lung shot) is the safest as there is a bit more "room for error" but a spine or heart placement is good if all the factors are in your favor and the hunter is confidant. There is also less meat damage behind the shoulder_Not that that takes priority over a clean kill though!

That spells it out quite well.

Brickburn the second one looks like an SCI record! Ha!

Think it might blow a lot of records away. Thor had one that looked pretty similar. Absolute brute.

After DNA tests, I think that we may find some Nyala genes in that boy;)

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
