HAPPY NEW YEAR to All

HNY all.

A little Tennyson, extracted from In Memoriam, to see in 2024.

Happy New Year to everybody

Happy New Year All! @Just Gina and I are celebrating already;)
@ActionBob
Happy new year to you and your lovely wife Gina and all on AH.
At my age 10pm is the new midnight. My wife and I watched the 9pm fireworks and were in bed by 10. Some fireworks in the oval behind us at midnight but they only lasted 30 seconds. Couldn't even be bothered to get out of bed to have a look just went back to sleep. Yeah pretty boring
Hopefully the new year brings primers and powders back to normal.

Happy New Year everyone! Bob Nelson 35Whelen is already having breakfast, SA is an hour away and it’s 10 hours to go here in Arizona! All the best and happy hunting in 2024!
@Boyd Brooks
Us Australians can't help it if the rest of the world is behind the times and we have already celebrated the new year.After all Australians are an advanced society.

Happy New Year to our AH family and friends!!
I am glad to see 2023 go. Bob and I purchased our forever home in Texas this year and have been moving from wretched MN all year. We are doing some renovations on the new house and preparing to sell the house in MN. It has been a very trying year at times, however we are happy and healthy, although quite stressed. Above all, we are extremely blessed.

I hope that whatever challenges everyone has faced in 2023 improves significantly, and that everyone has a blessed and happy 2024!

I am look forward to spending more time in my new house than in the Dodge Diesel this coming year!

Love, Hugs, Health, and Happiness to all!!

Gina and Bob
@Just Gina
Time spent in your Dodge is only wasted if you are not driving it to your next hunting destination.

We went to town for a late lunch and walked around town a bit and had a couple of drinks. We were home and I was asleep by about 10 :ROFLMAO:
When you get up as early as I do, bed time comes earlier also. We are such party animals haha!!
Happy New Year! :)

Happy New Year to the AH family !
We had a very quiet celebration here, D-23 for number 2 to arrive :)

Wishing you and all your close ones the greatest health and all the success possible in your lives. And may 2024 contain a hunt in Africa for each and every one of you!

Cheers,
V.

Bob she is talking about our 1 ton dually diesel making the 2716 mile round trip back and forth between what she refers to as our Southern Estate and Northern Estate. Same truck we used help move @Bullthrower338 from Houston to Western Montana.... although when loaded with a small portion of his brass and lead, it rode quite smoothly;)

We have towed the 5th wheel 42' triple axcel toy hauler camper (caravan to you) back and forth a couple times but it is currently parked here in Texas with the garage portion still loaded with furniture. Also pulled the 36' gooseneck flatbed with farm equipment and several more loads to go with that. But mostly a 24' or 22' enclosed bumper hitch trailer so we can also load tnec8' bed of the truck. It is awesome to pull and haul with but the ride is pretty stiff.

We've been making that trip in two days each way stopping mid way at Gina's parents to overnight. Makes for a tiring drive...

We did buy a Newmar Dutch Star Motorhome and that can handle a 15,000 pound trailer also but of course not the gooseneck. We wanted to avoid taking it up North in the snow and ice but I think next trip we will. It is much more comfortable and we can stop along the way at rest stops or truck stops and spend the night if we want or just for a rest. The basement of that think can haul a lot of the more fragile stuff as it is air ride and low center of gravity. Used it to transport Gina's more fragile Christmas decorations.

We almost have all the household stuff moved. Gina's desktop computer and big printer plus several other electronics and some office paperwork should be about it. Then the garage and 3 big sheds plus taxidermy and machinery! Hopefully we shall wrap up the move in 2024!

@Action Bob
If'n I had to haul that much shit nowdays I would do it all with on finger.
Use said finger to dial a removalist.
Use same finger to show removalist what goes where.
With free hand hold beverage of choice whilst someone else does all the work..
OR
METHOD 2
Just move WHOLE HOUSE.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha

Bob it's not just the house, the sheds are full plus stuff outside and in the woods;) Not moving everything, I mean snow blowers and blades are not needed in the South of Texas;) Some things will be consigned to auction, some given or bartered to friends and relatives.... I'm thinking barter may be an option for helping load taxidermy:)

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
