Does anyone have an interest in meeting up at the Houston Safari Club (HSC) Convention? There are a couple small pubs where we can have an informal get together?

The HSC Convention is from January 15-17, 2016, you can find more information at http://www.houstonsafariclub.org/convention/.

Great idea James!

I would, but I'll be at the dinner Fri & Sat night. Of course after the dinners a group of us are usually at the bar in the Marriot until.........?

I will be at the dinner fri & sat night .... After will be fine...

Lets see if anyone else chimes in and we can go from there. There is a litttle pub behind the Marriott that is usually pretty empty.

I was going to be in Missouri this weekend...but that trip got cancelled.

First thing Kathy said was "we can go to the Houston show".

So yeah, we are interested!

Tells us where and when...

Please come by my booth #14 to say hello....

I have invited Scott Guthrie of Zindele Safaris. He is going to try to make it.

I will be there...and I hope Lady Kathryn will be with me (so she can drive home!).

Wes - I told Scott we need to hear the hyena story...

At the pub!

Glad James thought about having a meet up at the HSC convention.

Scott Guthrie is here.

Calling all cars!

Had a great visit with Scott Guthrie of Zindele Safaris.

Never did cut tracks of any AH'ers! ;)

Hey guys. We had a great show this year in spite of the depressed oil economy here in Texas. Numbers are preliminary, but it's looking like approx. $750k raised for conservation projects and scholarships! Many thanks to those supporting HSC. It truly is a great organization.

I'll work with James next year to try and set something formal up for a AH meet and greet. Would love to get a AH tradition started at HSC!.......Great seeing you and Kathy, @tarbe. Did you leave the show with that Heym???? LOL

Wes

A man's got to know his limitations!

If I bought the Heym I would only get to hunt deer and pigs with it!

So my $650 Ruger will have to suffice!

That would be great Buff-Buster!

Wes, next year is going to be great for HSC and the USA....

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
