They'll have that much less fewer U.S. dollars that are already in short supply, no bueno.

I wonder what the truth is.

My background is a retail jeweler for 40 years. I can tell you that the bulk of Marange diamonds go to other countries for cutting. They go to India, Israel and Belgium primarily. Once cut they are sold into the trade. US labor is some of the highest in the world when it comes to cutting. As a result only bigger stones are regularly cut from rough in the US. Now most of the larger stones will likely be routed to Belgium.
They will still be sold and foreign currency will still be paid for rough diamonds. Always a market somewhere. They may not get quite as much, but they will still be sold.

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!
