There’s a LH Sako AV on GB right now with Winchester style 3 position safety. Does anyone know who or what company makes these? I’d be interested in having one installed on a Sako build I’m planning out.

By the looks of the shape of the sleeve and the case hardened lever that safety unit is either a PME, or a Ed LaPour.

Sadly PME made M70 safeties from 1985 to 2000, and Ed LaPour made M70 safeties from 2001 to 2020

Good luck in your search

Myers bought out Ed LaPour's tools and design. Look for his website to see if he is making it for Sako. I understand his stuff is quality but it's not cheap.

Edit: I checked. Nothing listed specifically for Sako but many different Mauser variations plus a few others. You might want to contact him.

In the pay it forward, I'll take those 38 S&W brass and bullets. I have a .38 Webley that will love something to eat
