Winchester Model 70 “Custom” Super Grade “Express” 375 H&H Mag. N.I.B.

375 H&H Mag. from the Winchester Custom Shop in New Haven Conn. I purchased it in Nov. 1995.

Asking Price: $2,922.00 plus shipping and insurance.

I have other Model 70’s NIB, most calibers.

Please PM to discuss. I will consider reasonable offers.

Thank you,

Wclint

Wow another good looking rifle. All the model 70 guys have to be excited to see these!

Sigh, I'm never going to make it to Africa if people keep posting rifles...

Thats a beaut! Im a bowhunter but my first rifle was a Model 70 in 30.06. That .375 would be a great big brother.

Are there any trades that would interest you?

Has it ever been scoped and zeroed or only a safe queen?

Since you stated you have other M70s, any African Express models in .375 H&H or .416 Rigby? Any African Express would be a find! An African Express in the Rigby would be exceptional!!!

Wow - beautiful. I need a M70 in .375 to go with my 30-06!

It would indeed! Unfortunately getting it imported into South Africa is practically impossible...

By chance is the "Custom African Express" with the higher capacity magazine box, 5 rds. in .375 H&H? I have been looking for one for several years

They are very rare. They have the larger magazine box, and higher grade wood. They also had island leaf sights. They came in .375 Holland, .416 Remington and .458 Lott (or Win Mag, not sure). One year only they were made in .416 Rigby. They all sold in the range of $4500 during the years they were made. The only one I know of that sold in recent years was to an AH member about 2 1/2 years ago from a Cabela's. Don't know what he paid. I have never seen one in person. I would expect to pay in the $6000 range range for the Rigby since they are less common than the others, and around $5000 at least for the others IF you can find one and the owner wants to sell. They look more like a Rigby than a Winchester. Good luck, and if you find one, post lots of photos!
