Visiting an a silent auction that has a Win 94AE commemorative .30-.30 for sale. The serial# is 6139355. Gun is in very good condition with almost no blemishes. It’s close to new. Last bid was $700. I was thinking of bidding $750. I don’t need it but i don’t have a .30-.30 lever. Any blemishes in the pics are just the glass window. Auction ends at around 11 am tomorrow (Sat, 2 Aug).

Gun guru’s - let me know what you think it’s worth! Thx

Personally, I would pass on it.

Anything made to be collectible will not rise in value much, especially if it’s been altered like having the scope mounted on it.

If your willing to put $750 into a 30-30 look for a decent pre 64 and own something worth having.

Thx. Wouldn’t a decent pre64 be much higher?

I agree. Most languish at $500-$700 for decades. The several commemorative Winchesters that have done well are the John Wayne original models.

Some of the Crazy Horse 38-55s with nice wood. But still only at $1200-$1500 decades later.

If you want a Winchester at $750 Buy an old one instead

I have that exact same commemorative 94. I put XS sights on it and I love shooting it.

It was given to me by a good friend, so most of its value is only in my eyes.

I agree with the others, for that price look on gunsinternational.com and you can find older/better ones for around that price. Those models also had the crossbolt safety, it's unnecessary amd ugly AF. I removed mine, but if I were to buy another 94 it wouldn't have the safety, or those scope mounts.

Keep looking, there's lots of good 94s out there.

Cheers,

I had one of those rifles. I kept under the seat of my truck for a few years. When I sold it used, abused, and looking like it, I sold it. The guy wanted a beater rifle for trapping.
I got $400 for it.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
