FWIW: On YouTube there is a posted video entitled "don't talk to cops, part 1". It is presented by law professor James Duane, and it is 27 min and 25 secs long. It is also quite old, at 11 years. But he talks about The Lacey Act for one minute, beginning at about run time 6:05 or so. It is well worth listening to for any USA hunter traveling anywhere. I have mentioned to others that it is within the law to "confiscate all your trophies and firearms after running a red light in Zimbabwe (If they had red lights) and lose all of them upon returning to the Land of the Free. This may be an exaggeration.....since Zim has no traffic lights(o_O) but there is real risk in not knowing The Lacey Act. Take a minute.....or take 27 mins...as the entire program is entertaining, but the nugget is one min of run time... from 6m to 7m about........................FWB

Very goon info

Now just try that when when you're coming home from safari and the ICE agent asks you "the purpose of your trip to Namibia?" ... "I don't answer questions"...and you next stop will be???

Good info, thanks! US members should also educate themselves on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

A couple of pointers: (1) you do have the right to remain silent. However, that right can be used again you until you are arrested, then your constitutional right to remain silent kicks in. (2) questioning stops once you ask for a lawyer. (3) The magistrates warning is very clear: (a) you are not required to make any statement (b) any statement you make can and will be used against you in Trial and in Court. (c) the right to terminate the interview at any time with peace officers (d) the right to have a lawyer present with an interview with Peace Officers.

Disclaimer: the above are general legal principles and not legal advice and do not create an attorney/client relationship.

Below legal tips from the Pot Brothers:

Ok sports fans…The “I Don’t answer questions” in the fantasy world of youtube videos where the cop just walks away…VS my 22 years (retired) Federal Law Enforcement real world … Every Cop, State Trooper, DEA & FBI Agent I have worked with and drank with would react the following…”Good day sir do you know why I stopped you?” …”I Don’t Answer Questions!” Your going into hand cuffs…Your going to be pat searched…You Name and SSN will be run for any and all outstanding warrants and criminal history…if you were driving you will wait in hand cuffs by the side of the road in the rain snow or blistering mid day sun until a K9 team checks you and your car. and that’s the minimum treatment I guarantee you will face. And that whole time you will never be asked another Question! Refuse to identify yourself...Automatic trip to jail

Oh and for the love of God do not play that with a U.S. Federal Marshal...they play by a whole other set of rules established prior to the Constitution...I love watching those guys work.
