Was reading about the 2 PH's that died hunting. They were all over the place before that.

Did the anti-hunters run them off? It seems that this forum played a part in getting them in the crosshairs of the liberal lunatics and they were under attack.
After the second PH died, Buzzfeed did a article about him and Chifuti linking this forum...which is where they got the information.

That lead to a bunch of trolls coming here but also lead to them getting blasted on Facebook and a Change.org petition to shut them down,

So did the anti-hunting lunatics win? Are they out of business? Their website is history, they are not on FB other than people hating on them.

Should this forum be such that you have to be a member to read the post to protect other Safari operators or is that the case already? Obviously liberal aholes could pretend to be a hunter and create an account...but that at least takes some effort on their part compared to just reading post on here.

I am curious to know what happened after all the uproar when Buzzfeed spotlighted them after their person read about it here and liked the forum posting honoring the dead PH

Unless I misheard, they are now growing tobacco and rather successfully.

So out of the hunting business then? Sucks that the libs could drive a Safari Operator out of business.

Little do they know that instead of protecting animals, when a safari area is shut down, the animals get poached into extinction. They think they are "saving the animals" yet in the end they contribute to their getting wiped out when they get rid of the people that protect them all in order to take a few.

Just curious what is your interest in them specifically? They had a lot of coverage on TV for a while but hunting companies come and go a lot.

I was intrigued by the fact that they had two PHs get killed on DG hunts in like 3-4 years...which kind of seems to be way outside the statistical norm.

And by the fact that this forum was used as part of a campaign against them by liberal loonies and now they are gone. I just hate seeing the crazies bully hunters and hunting operators.

And yea, they were on "Tracks Across Africa" a lot 8-10 years ago...were in tight with DSC. And now they are gone apparently.

Wondering if this place isn't a gold mine for anti-hunting hate if it is open for anybody to read without being members

AH is an easy target.
Do you see the number of links on the subject?
Hell, Google has an auto populate search: "chifuti safaris ph killed"
You have to have a lot of searches to gain that "honour".

The Chifuti website was live Dec 11, 2022. So, they shut it down very recently.

Not sure what happened. But there US address is the same as Safari Classics. You might contact them and see if they will tell you.

I noticed that they were missing from DSC in 2022 and asked around as to their whereabouts. I was told that they lost their concessions? I always enjoyed talking to Mark, a genuinely nice man to visit with.

I know one of the PH's has been working for another company. I saw him at DSC. You would have to ask Dave Fulson, Safari Classics, to find out the current situation.

Thanks

I was mainly just curious if the Anti-Hunters were successful running them out of business or the fatel incidents caused too much bad publicity…or both.

It seemed like the second fatal incident got lots of attention and that put them on the lib radar so kinda thinking “both”.

I wasn’t looking to hunt with them but was just reading about the fatal buffalo charge…then the fatal elephant charge and found the article referencing this forum.

The other thread about DG hunting had me googling fatal incidents and I was surprised to find 2 from the same Safari operation only a couple years apart and surprised to see the article basically happy about the second one that referenced this forum

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
