I had the privilege of meeting Dennis yesterday as he drove 5 hours in a snowstorm to meet me half way. A class act.

He did so because he wanted a fragile trophy to get to me safely and so he could get my just delivered salted hides to a tannery immediately. Obsessive respect for his work and his client'a hides.

There are artists and then there are day-job taxidermists. Artists have obsessions, peculiarities and idiosyncrasies. Dennis is an artist. The first thing I noticed upon meeting him was his meticulous packing of my trophy in his vehicle, his concern for safely getting it into my truck and his desire to loan me moving blankets to make sure it was perfectly protected. This dude is majorly anal retentive EXACTLY the type of artist you want working on your trophies.

Indeed, the closer you look, the better it gets.

Thank you, Dennis!

Looks like the Trophy was worth the Trip

Nice deer and mount, I really like the wood backing with the leaves where did you get it or did dennis find it?. I sent him a 12pt to mount I may ask for that same board. Dennis is definitely a first rate taxidermist and a class act and I would recommend him to anyone(y)

You've described him to a tee! Some care when he dropped off my tahr to me. He will be doing my Mozambique trophies when the finally get state side. Can't wait to challenge him with something unique from them!

@rookhawk , I can't believe you got such a little guy mounted. ;)

Superb. That plaque is first quality.

Love the plaque as well, last month we ordered two custom cuckoo clocks from a master carver in the Black Forest. I need to ask if he can make some Euro plaques and throw them in with my shipment. Last I heard my safari shipment has cleared F&W @ Dulles and should be headed to Dennis soon! Your mount is superb.

Man that is a great Buck! The mount is a beauty!

Very nice work!

Beautiful mount! I also would like to know where the plaque/shield originated. I saw some like that at DSC a few years ago, but would eventually like to get some.

Great looking mount, congrats!

We'll have to see if Dennis is prepared to divulge his plaque source. Easier just to let him supply the carved plaque with his taxidermy though. :)

His website does not show a single image with a similar plaque, so hard to know he even offers them. For all we knew, you provided it for him to use.

I guess when I get something down that I would like mounted, I will have to reach out to him.

Dennis currently has my kudu and hartebeest from our 2015 trip to Namibia, and I can't wait to see the final product.

Everything I have seen and heard has been spot on, and he has been a pleasure to do business with thus far!

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
