When you finish that one “a man called lion” is well worth the read as wellI'm reading Pondoro - Last of the Ivory Hunters by John Taylor, first published in 1955.
I think this was his last book. Different than African Rifles and Cartridges, the focus on various game of Africa, and the Africans he hunted and lived with.
Halfway through it…outstanding book!!!African-wise I’ve started reading Months of the Sun again.

I really enjoyed the Seven Pillars of Wisdom
I was given a copy when I was in my teens, and it is what began my fascination with the Middle East. That eventually led to the Defense Language Institute for Arabic, Foreign Service Institute for Arabian Peninsula Dialect, and a fellowship at the Walsh School, Contemporary Arab Studies, Georgetown - and a lot of time mucking around the Arab World.7 Pillars of Wisdom is restricted on Internet Archive, it is what I was searching for when I found the Lowell Thomas book.

Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy
See if I can find even one redeeming quality in Judge Holden this time.
The restriction mentioned is most likely a paywallI was given a copy when I was in my teens, and it is what began my fascination with the Middle East. I can't imagine why it would be on some sort of restricted list.
