I final 100% booked the female lion hunt with pieter at pawprint for the trip.My son has no idea he will being hunting this lion though. He will be hunting with his muzzlerloader but thinking we are looking for eland.I told him the one ranch we will hunting has lions on it so we may see one.He said that would be great to see one as we hunt.Pieter has gone way out of his way to make this lion hunt happen for my kid.Watch out for some picture soon we leave july 28th and will hunt the lion sometime in early aug.

Congrats, I hope everything works out like you planned.

Can't wait for your reports.

Tim

Thanks ensyee crossing my fingers

Tim my reports will come as fast as I can do them.I will give you a bullet by bullet report how all that ammo works you reloaded for me and the kid.Maybe one of them 300 mag a frames will end up in that lion as I will be backing the kid up with that and pieter on the big gun. There maybe a arrow in between some rifle shots but I will keep you up to date.

We will all understand if you don't report until you get back. I would probably want to spend my time there doing other things, vs writing reports!

You get my vote for father of the year!

There will be some big smiles in the lion photos. Have a great time.

sounds like an awesome hunt, looking forward to the reports for sure

My kid makes it easy for me to want to do things like this for him.Last week 90 degree heat he was up on the job starting at 530 am roofing with me.Never even ask if he is getting paid for the work he does with me.I say I have a job he can help and he ask when are we going.Plus pieter really made this happen as he wants him to have this chance before they get there way and stop lions from coming into the states.

Thats awesome Bill! Can't imagine his smile when he finds out he is hunting lion. Great job keeping the secret as there is no way in h**l I could bear the great news. Keep us posted when you can and best of luck to you and your son.

billc,

I wanna see 'that' expression on video when he is actually in the bush seeing the Lion and have a go-ahead to shoot...damn it can only be priceless!

I hope to get it all on video and post it here. His face when seeing the lion should be priceless let alone when I tell him he can take her.

GOOD LUCK and PLAY SAFE !
Glen

My sons safety will be first. He can at least run faster then me and I think faster then pieter to.LOL I think the 290 grain muzzy bullet will do the trick and he shoots it best of the sticks. It was all fun planning but no matter what people say this is a wild animal and we will hunt it as such.

Enjoy the adventure.

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
