I’m sure many members in here are also members of the NRA, so I thought might be worth posting. Personally, I say good riddance. Hopefully NRA members will elect someone we can be proud to stand behind (or really someone who stands behind us) who is notable, intelligent, and above reproach.

gcbailey, that is great news. Before he got "to big for his britches" Wayne was good for the NRA. These last 7 -10 years not so much. I've been a proud Benefactor Member for a long time. Now I may start contributing again depending on how the organization goes.

Same here. Will be watching carefully. I hope we can get an honorable patriot to step to the plate!

The anti-gun crowd views the NRA as part of the problem. With new leadership, I hope the NRA can play a leading role in finding solutions to some of the gun problems in the US.

Beat me to the post. I’m a life member, however I haven’t donated in the past several years due to his leadership or lack thereof.
I know a guy that whenever he gets NRA requests for money, sends back an empty form with the “Wayne’s gotta go!” written on it. He may contribute again now that Wayne IS gone.

I always told them that over the phone. After the 3rd or 4th time of speaking to the same lady, she told me that she would make note of that. After this, a new NRA solicitor began calling

Great news. We will see where it goes.

Exactly. Like jailing convicted felons in possession of a firearm in the commission of another crime. For many years. Publicize this extensively throughout all media, far and wide.
In New Orleans, perps, convicted felons, possessing weapons, mostly stolen, make up a majority of arrests. Shooting, carjackings, attempted murder.
No bail, mandatory 20 years.
The public needs to know and the NRA should take the lead in informing the public.

+1. I'm an NRA Life Member too, but haven't sent any funds to them since 'ol Wayne and his wife decided to fund their lavish lifestyle with OUR money.

+1 to all of the above.

This is long overdue.

I pray the NRA board finds the right person to LEAD the organization and make it what is once was again.

I might actually start sending them money again if they do.

For the last few years the FPC has been getting my dollars. I felt they were far more deserving..

Whenever presented an opportunity to round up for NRA these last few years, I always decline. Yes I'm a member but no I don't like the direction and leadership decisions. I hope to feel differently in the future.

I don't remember all the drama and details, but when Colonel Oliver North was involved with the upper echelon of the NRA, he started questioning some of LaPierre's "practices" and the NRA got rid of him. That's about the time I quit sending funds to them.

Let's bring back Tom Selleck into NRA leadership!

Just moving to DM. Yes, please ask your friend if he knows somebody who might be willing to support a persistent hunt in the snow.

Hi Paul,
This is Daniel from Mankazana Safaris.

I saw your post regarding a hunt in Africa. I am sure you have been bombarded with messages and replies from other outfitters, so I will keep this one quick.
I have a feeling we have exactly what you need for a first safari.
If you'd like to hear more, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Yours sincerely,

If you ever decide to sell this rifle, I will buy it with the dies, bullet, brass, the works. Dan
