Good day AH community,

We trust you are all doing great and have enjoyed your various festive season's with your families! Today we have a phenomenal offer on the cards for those who are obsessed with hunting the strange and unique African Warthog! We have undoubtedly some of the best warthog hunting in South Africa as a direct result of our home base location's and careful management. We border one of the largest privately owned national parks in the whole of South Africa (75000ha). Unfortunately for them they are mismanaging the park and have an absolutely mind numbing number of elephants present on the park. Due to this factor the amount of grazing and food available to the rest of the game is relatively poor. Thus all hungry warthogs in the park look to us for greener pastures. We have not had to supplement the feed on our home base since 2015. The grazing is truly fantastic due to good management. That being said the Warthog rut runs from May through to July and in this period it is absolutely reasonable to expect to see anywhere from 250 to 550 Warthogs per day per blind session. The hunting area is 5000ha in size and accommodation is a luxury Hemingway styled tented camp. A hotel under a thousand stars. You would land at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and from there it is a relatively painless and 3 and a quarter hours drive towards Limpopo and the Botswana border.

Warthog was not on my list for my safari, but once I saw some of then ripping around I just knew I had to go after one. To say I am now hooked is an understatement! There are some fantastic looking porkers there! I can't wait for another opportunity to have another crack at one.

We hope to see you then! Fingers crossed that it all improves as soon as possible!

Kind regards,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel
If this Covid stuff ever gets straightened out this hunt will be high on my list.

They are incredible little animals that will keep you entertained for hours! Once you catch the bug for hunting them its very hard to shake it! Hopefully you get chase them again soon!

Are all of the ones in the pictures considered trophy class even the ones with broke teeth?
That is correct @Pole Pole. Even the broken tusked boars are considered trophies. Unfortunately even though they have broken tusks they take many many years to achieve that size and are still very special boars!

Kind regards,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
