Good day AH community,

We trust you are all doing great and have enjoyed your 2021 hunting year! We still have 1 or 2 safaris coming up but are already looking forward to our 2022 season! This hunt is a great offer for those who are obsessed with hunting the strange and unique African Warthog! We have undoubtedly some of the best warthog hunting in South Africa as a direct result of our home base's location and our careful management systems. We border one of the largest privately owned national parks in the whole of South Africa (75000ha) and unfortunately for them they are mismanaging the park and have an absolutely mind numbing number of elephants present on the park. Due to this factor the amount of grazing and food available to the rest of the game is relatively poor. Thus all hungry warthogs in the park look to us for greener pastures. We have not had to supplement the feed on our home base since 2015. The grazing is truly fantastic due to good management. That being said the Warthog rut runs from May through to July and in this period it is absolutely reasonable to expect to see anywhere from 250 to 550 Warthogs per day. The hunting area is 5,000 hectares or 12,000 acres in size and accommodation is a luxury Hemingway styled tented camp. You would land at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and from there it is a relatively painless and 3 and a quarter hours drive towards Limpopo and the Botswana border. The package looks as follows:

Warthog Fever:

5x Warthog

Thank you very much @flatwater bill. We had a great season on pigs for sure. We actually have a very strict management plan with regards to our pigs and normally limit our clients to 1 big pig per person in a normal safari. We only booked one of these packages this season so the pigs didn't have any extraordinary pressure this year. If anything they had a bit less! So plenty of giants out there still!

The warthog with the right tusk missing and a scar down his forehead has some interesting stories to tell ! Obviously a scrapper and troublemaker !!

The hunter behind the hog has on a camo teeshirt, beard and a cap with a "W" on it.

Wow definitely the place for wart hogs!!! Awesome!!!
@R.M.C. cheers we appreciate it! Good management is the key!

Kind regards,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel

Are the pigs with broke tusk considered non-trophy.
Unfortunately not @Pole Pole. We view that as extra character and personally love an old broken tusker!

Kind regards,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel

He was by far one of the gnarliest Warthogs we have seen! One serious boxer!

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
