Gents,

For a book & whiskey club, I'd like to make some inert 375 h&h big cartridges.
We will be finishing Death in the Long Grass and I'm hosting the meeting.
PLanning to load some 375 giveaways.

In search of used brass. Worn out is fine but not split.
Also looking for some boolits if anyone has loose or unused. Prefer not to put my good TSX in the loads.

Drop me a line if you have some sitting around.
Thanks

A Book and Whiskey Club! Glad to hear you're using dummy rounds and not shooting the real stuff after partaking of the Whiskey :)

Explains the spelling of bullets. ;)

ha ha ha. Yes, I don't always do things sensibly but I tend to have the gun activities prior to the alcohol.

Boolits is a reference to a forum called Cast Boolits
When i was developing loads for my Webley Green in 455 (lower pressure because it's so old) there were some guys on there that were helpful and a lot of them cast in bulk if you want to buy and avoid your own lead smelting setup.

I've gotten a lot of good info from that forum as well. Some of those guys have an amazing depth of knowledge; much like is found on this forum.

Here's an idea. I've had this key fob for years. It's made from a 2.5" twelve gauge empty case. You could easily make similar fobs from 375. The screw eye is held in the primer pocket with epoxy. Use ball bearing fishing swivel. The brass wire ones fall apart quickly. Round nose bullets would work best. Spitzer might poke a hole in pants pocket.

Here's a 30-06 dummy used as a fob for fan pull cord chain.

Love it!
I have some stainless 50lb swivels almost identical to that in my saltwater gear.
Thanks much

Home Depot for brass screw eyes and crafts stores usually have bulk packs of key rings. Glad to help.

So would that be "Boolits" or "Bulliet"?

I suggest putting a tag on each gift key fob informing the owners they CANNOT board a plane with the dummy bullet. Slip it off the ring and leave it home. This is my fob for Africa trips. It's a bubble for spin casting flies.

Dear hunting mob:

I'd like to continue my thread and request some questions, conversation starters, or esoteric insights anyone may have on the book "death in the tall grass" for the book review meeting later this week.

Boolit keychain concept is working great. Excellent suggestion.

Bottles are typically themed so the
1st bottle will be bulleit rye as cleverly suggested above and will be served with a hands-on of multiple rifle cartridges and keychain trinket takeaway. A lot of these lads don't hunt so...

2nd bottle is the limited edition makers mark wood finish London edition I snagged in LHR. it's a reach with "hit your mark" but I figure by bottle #2, I'll get a pass with minimal groaning on the long reach for a theme that's approaching dad joke territory.

Thx much

Reza Call me any time you want to talk about Elephant. hunting and CMS.
I've hunted two Elephant with CMS.
In 13 African safari's and an equal number of North American hunts, BUZZ is the best guide I have ever hunted with.
