I'm looking for a ruger express in 300 win mag or 338 any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance

You’re looking for something that’s pretty rare. There is a gentleman on the forum who has a few, though I would venture to say he isn’t selling. I’m a old Ruger fan too and wish you well on your search!

I just received a Ruger express 3006. Very nice rifle! I am also interested in the other calibers. I found a 7 mag, accepted the offer but waiting for the gentlemans reply. If you find one in a caliber your not interested in please let me know. Thank you and good luck!

@416fan and @Mississippian .....I have one in .300 Win Mag that is not for sale. Depending on where you live and how far you are willing to drive, I suggest you go to the Tulsa Arms Show in Tulsa OK around the first weekend in April. You can usually find uncommon rifles there. Also scan Guns International (under Ruger M 77 and Gun Broker (under Ruger Express) usually at least a couple times a week. When one shows up it is usually sold on the first day. @ActionBob are you reading this?

Sierraone, thank you for the advice! I found mine on gunbroker, it turn out better than expected.
Mine came from Guns International at a time I wasn't even looking for one. I had a Timney trigger put in and made sure it was bedded correctly. With my 3x9 Zeiss on it, it is a hole in one rifle.

I need a 338 express also, I think @IdaRam put me in his will for the one he beat me to!

David I've been avoiding it. I have 2 in 300 win. One is as new. I regularly hunt with the other. Absolutely love it. It is a svelte piece;) Also have a 338 win mag I hunt with. Even more accurate that the 300!

Thought about selling the like new one but tough to decide.... and probably want too much:)

I do have 1 in 7mm rem mag, and several in 270 and 30-06.

put a price on it! If the original poster passes I’d like second option!

A 300.Ruger express win mag may go for 3800. If it is new or almost new. If not a bit less. That is my opinion. A 30-06 may fetch 2800 to 3500.
A 338 RUGER EXPRESS MAY BRING (NIB) PROBABLEY BRING UPWARDS OF 5K. BECAUSE ONLY 100 WERE MADE.

Krish, I think you’ve had enough eggnog this evening!

Here's one in .416 Rigby coming up for sale in January, and which looks from the photographs to be in very good condition:

@Major Bonkers This is a gorgeous rifle. I already have two of these, but could be interested in this one. How much is the buyers premium with this auction house? I could not find it.

Finally found it. 20 percent which is subject to state tax. That starting bid is extremely low for that rifle. IMO.

20% commission. Website at: https://www.centurionauctions.com

(1) for goodness' sake, get a condition report before bidding;

(2) they have telephone bidding, which is the best way to bid.

Yup, and I still have a tiny twinge of guilt every now and then. But it passes quickly!
You are first in line if she ever loses her spot in the gun safe. Which could happen if the right vintage double ever comes along and I need cash!

Found it, in .338! Sale, January 2d.

Mark 1 Ruger 77, with push feed and tang safety. A few bashes, but appears in good condition.

Also a Ruger No. 1 and a mark 1 model 77, both in .458 WM in the same auction.

Um, no you did not find an Express.

You found a very common Mark I.

I'm sure the OP is looking for the rare Ruger model 77 Mark II Express. The serial numbers are with 760-xxxxx it comes with one standing and one flip up rear sight, a barrel band front sight, barrel band sling swivel attachment point, and fine Circassion Walnut. Plus the most definining feature is the integral quarter rib. Just like the big brother RSM models.
