A quick search on gunbroker reveals new long action at $465.

Otherwise, I used a Remington Sportsman 78 for the build Ive just finished. Prior to the pandemic I was buying those guns for less than 300 delivered. Now they are over 500. 700 donor rifles are out there but their price has gone up as well.
