I'm ready to make the jump. I'm looking for the best deal on an R8. Wanting to stay sub $4k. This really puts me in the professional stock, but do also want the removable trigger group. Caliber choice is ideally a 300 Win, but open as I could sell the barrel off and purchase the 300. Really wanting the Savanna tan color stock if in the Professional model as well.

I've checked out GB and GI, best deal going now is $3800ish, in the green professional though.

Any members with a R8 they're looking to move around the target price especially in the Savanna?

Try calling Bob Turkovich at Cove Creek Outfitters In PA. They have the best pricing I’ve found on Blaser stuff.

Oh, and when you get and R8, it is pretty easy to collect barrels and a lot harder to let them go.

Thanks. I got a quote from Mad Dog, but $800 over what another dealer had for new. I'll see what CC can do. Thanks again!

PM sent. I have an R8 set that I would sell or trade for M70. Bought on AH. Don't know if it is a Savanna but has detachable trigger group and standard barrels (300WM, 6.5CM, 375H&H).

Somarriba.com is pretty reasonable on their R8 stuff. Cove Creek as well.
I'll keep an eye out for something used. Sometimes it's easier to by the stock used, then add the barrel and bolt. The green professional seems to be the most popular.

Cove Creek (Bob) is more than reasonable and they have good service as well .

I just saw a great deal on a new 300 WM Professional on Gunsinternational. Comes with a Zeiss Conquest scope, scope mount, and Pelican hard case. You won't find a better deal. $4744.00

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
