I am doing a Zambia hunt this fall and wanted to visit Victoria Falls for a few days after. For those who have visited Victoria falls on both sides do you have an opinion on which one you liked better? It appears a bit cheaper and easier to stay on the Zambia side. I am looking at natural scenery, cost, and overall vibe.

I prefer the Zim side. We stay at the Stanley & Livingston outside town. Be sure to have a drink on the terrace of the Victoria Falls Hotel.

If you’re already on the zambia side of the falls, there’s no need to cross over.
there are loads of touristy activities available in livingstone. More than in zim. There are more hotels and accommodations too, from backpacker lodges to 5* hotels.

Yup....and @roverandbrew if you ask nicely I will come and drink there with you.... :E Big Grin: :A Thumbs Up::D Beers:

I saw the falls from the Zambia side in 2021 since the Zim border was closed to Botswana. It's impressive. Make sure to hike down as far as possible. I'm guessing you get just as wet from either side. I would have liked to drink at the Vic Falls Hotel for nostalgic/historical reasons, however for a first timer it just makes you say WOW especially since there was plenty of water. The roadside stop just upriver is a great perspective for later.

And, you can sit in the Devil's pool at the top of the falls in Zambia. I like both sides, but there's even elephant(s) in the water above the falls in Zambia! Different view. 'Could see both sides if time permits (the trail system and views of the falls in Zim is also very nice, walking amongst the monkeys, baboons and warthog.) On the Zim side you're looking at the entire falls (several,) and on the Zam side you're looking down from the top of the falls along the river. There are expediters available to get your passport stamped.
