This week on Tuesday, my wife and son graduated from their hunter’s safety course. They took the class together so she and he have achieved that honorable goal.

In both the field and book tests they scored excellent, I couldn’t be more proud. In this world of busy schedules, they made the time to attend several nights over a few weeks time. The written test took place on our 20 year wedding anniversary!

As a teacher, she feels our society would be best served if safe gun handling and hunters safety were required in the schools, for a multitude of reasons. Very happy for and proud of them both.

Good stuff! I tend to agree with your wife about gun training also!! Congrats to both!

Excellent !

And what a plan for your 20th anniversary! LOL

congratulations

Congratulations to your wife and son…

I am proud to say I have completed the Kentucky Hunter’s Education course 3 times: myself as a teenager, with my oldest son and again with my middle son (extremely proud of both).
I look forward to repeating the course with my grandchildren and my youngest son who his autistic.

Congratulations to them and happy anniversary

Great to hear and a great example set for all! Congratulations!

Excellent! Do I foresee a family safari to Africa upcoming?

This is awesome news. Congrats

Congratulations! And Happy Anniversary! :)

Thank you all for your encouragement and comments. I feel that sometimes we get wrapped up in the details and nuances of our hobby; possibly over looking the core of what/who we are and why we do these things.

We should be thankful we can do what we love to do. I am working hard to put together that family safari one day. Until then, it’s whitetail in Wisconsin with the Wife and Kiddo. I am a blessed man!
