I got the chance to meet up with some friends who I meet on another forum who are from the UK.
We first meet face to face at a NASCAR race in IL.
That next year my wife and I went to the UK for our July anniversary trip in September.
Spent a few days in and around Manchester then headed to Scotland , while the wives went to London, while we hunted stags. We also got to do some fishing and caught a couple dozen Mackerel.
After that we spent a week at our other friends place sight seeing. We did some rabbit hunting as well and then meet up with my friends hunt buddy to do some Roe hunting.
Here are some pics of the trip.

My first Roe buck. Missed him being a bronze medal by less than 2 tenths of a point.

Very nice! The bases on that Roe buck are unique, perhaps normal for that animal, but unique at least to me.

Well done. Great Roebuck. A very old non-typical which is the perfect to one to take.

Wonderful abnormal buck, great trophy to take, congratulations.
And mackerel over coals, you can't beat it. One of the best tasting fishes in the sea.

Congrats, just love that trophy !

Congrats and thanks for sharing! Looks like a once in a lifetime Roe!

Glad you had a good time over here.

That is one hell of a great Roe trophy.

Thanks for sharing your adventures. One of these days I want to do a write up on a Roe buck.

Nice Roebuck. Thanks for sharing.
Bruce

Thanks Guys!
I was very fortunate to get a buck like that in only a 3 hour hunt. I was only expecting to shoot a doe or two and maybe if I was lucky to shoot a small buck.
The mate that was leasing that land had never seen that one before in the area.
He was a old buck who had more than likely been run out of his area and just happened by me.

I'll take luck like that any day of the week.

Thanks for posting, love that Roebuck!!!

Looks like fun!

Hello,
Would you consider selling just the Barnes 235's and 250g TTSX's?

I hunted elephant with Luke Samaris in 2005. It was my fourth safari and I tell you he is a fine gentleman the best. I got the opportunity to meet Patty Curtis, although never hunted with him but enjoyed our conversation around our tent in the Selous. Very sad for a tough guy to leave this world the way he did. Let’s pray the murderers are caught. I hope to see Luke in Nashville.
