Made about 1994-98. IMO about the nicest finished of the standard factory Win 70s.

Used Model 70s can be great or a total failure. Plus, Winchester has declined some work on older New Haven guns.

I’d have to know it feeds and functions perfectly.

Not seeing things- both shown are PF.

Hmm- Don't know what they are- could be 1992-1994 transition rifles? I have a Super Express CRF Win 70 375 HH. Marked same "Super Express" on floor plate but with "Classic Super Express" on right side of barrel. Also possibility of changed floor plate/other parts?

The M-70 with the scope sure looks like it has a full length extractor to me, although it is blued. Also you can see the collar that holds the extractor in place. The other one I did not look at closely. 95% sure on the one with the scope, but then I am having both of my eyes done next month.

Mine has a PF serial number, but is definitely CRF. I think some sketchy stuff always happens during transition periods.

Both of the rifles pictured appear to be push feeds. I have a 1992 model that is push feed and has never had an issue. Its been to Africa once but also has had the Sh.....shot out of it.

I have four M70s, three push feeds (I have owned one for 48 years). one crf. None of them have ever been to a gunsmith.

the one @fourfive8 posted is not one of the ones for sale - his definitely is CRF. And also note his proper 90-degree scope rotation to get the turret away from the ejection/loading port. Smart move.

I bought mine here in the UK for £1100 only had 20 shots from new. It’s 2004-05 I think. Absolutely love it

Please excuse my ignorance I'm trying to learn something now ... Indexing the scope 90* so the turret is out of the way of the ejection port ,,, is that a common practice on just that rifle in question or something to think about on some of my bolt guns ? I shoot a bunch with open sights on my lever guns and I just scoped my cz in 375hh and 416rigby just last week to start brushing up before a trip so shooting around my property with a scope I know is much different than when something is possibly running you down , (that's why my lever guns have open sights it's what I pig hunt regularly with) , I don't hunt out of the safety of a tree stand or buggy so my feet are usually always on the ground and I probably don't run as fast as I used to ;)

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe

Hi Walden. Good morning from England, Chris here (The Englishman!) from Croatia. Firstly it was a pleasure to meet you and Michelle - a fellow Sanderson! I have finally joined AH as I enjoy it very much. Glad you enjoyed the hunt and your write up which I read on AR was very good indeed. I am sending on WhatsApp pics from Bojan of some of the animals hunted recently. Take care and best regards. CS.
