Hello All,

I wanted to see if anyone has experience or references for moving trophies from city to another within the US. I am moving from Omaha to Louisiana for work and rather than trust the company who is relocating me to move my trophies I am in need of a good transportation company. I have a combination of shoulder, floor pedestal, and European mounts. I have already contacted trophy transport for a quote. Just like all of you I am in need good deal. Thanks ahead of time for any shared insight/experience.

Regards,

dt

Just like all of you I am in need good deal.

I've been going through this and have about decided that for me a "good deal" will likely be trophy transport, although I'm not 100% decided yet.

The only really "good deal" out there IMO is to rent a trailer, buy some plywood, and do it yourself. If I was retired and had the time that's exactly what I'd do. With time being important though and the window small that's just one more stress I don't want.

If you haven't checked see if you can get it covered in your moving package separately from the movers - some companies will and some won't.... It also might be worth it to call some taxidermists in the Midwest and see if any are making a delivery run that will coincide with your move dates. If they have extra space they may be happy to do it.

I agree 100% on the moving goons. I wouldn't let them touch any of my stuff. That's just a disaster waiting to happen.

I called Trophy transport and they are not cheap. My taxidermist said he may be able to do it. So when the time comes I'll decide.

Thanks Royal and Johnny - waiting for my quote from Trophy Transport. Hoping this will work out at a reasonable price. Will keep y'all updated.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.
