Time for flights to RSA!!

Well its finally time to get out flights booked!

We are looking at Emirates out of Chicago to get some nice laydowm seats without dropping $10k a person.

Has anyone took an extended stay in Dubai? We are looking at doing 48 hrs but are concerned with leaving firearms at airport/police custody. Has anyone done this?

I ran into this the last time returning from Africa. My connecting flight home from Toronto was delayed and then canceled due to bad weather and I was forced to stay overnight in a motel. Air Canada would not keep the checked baggage overnight. I had to take my rifles with me to motel and check them in again the next day. Air Canada did not charge me another handling fee. Then the guns didn't get on the plane. They came in on a later flight. Not a big deal. I was watching the AirTag so knew where they were. Air Canada said the guns would be delivered to my home but I chose to drive back to airport and pick them up.

If I recall correctly, airlines generally will not take checked bags more than twelve hours before departure. Seem to remember running into this several times in the old days when I flew a lot on the job. OP can pay for gun handling agency and they should have an answer.

We are working with Gracy Travels and the said dubai police take lur firearms. Im hoping someone has experience with this
