This board-covered, hand-tooled leather album was crafted by a PH's uncle who lives in Columbia. It is a beast. It's coffee table-sized at 15" W X 20" L X 2" D and weighs 14 pounds empty. It contains 130 sheets of heavy stock translating to 260 pages for photos. The hand tooling is carved in high relief and the binding contains decorative tassels. He could only make 5-6 of these each year if I remember correctly. This one is in as-purchased condition; no photos were ever applied to the pages.
Although the world has gone digital on a wholesale basis, this is for someone who still appreciates the old school way of using pictures to tell stories of adventures. Original cost was $700. This is now $395 shipped and insured to the Lower 48 USA.
As a good friend once said . . . "When you hold court and your guests see this, they will know that you are not a humble man."
Thank you.
