I find this whole thing quite humorous. A very liberal news source touting that the service dog is merely a worker for the human, and surely had no bond with him. Yet the wild animals we all enjoy hunting, are so intellectually advanced they know their own family members, grieve, and so many other human emotions.

To be a basic millennial: "I can't even," with this bunch of goons. I will agree with the last statement of the article regarding not putting human emotions off on animals, but they can't even stay the course with that statement.

Edited to add: In the Slate's defense, I did search on their website, and saw they aren't totally super crazed anti-hunting.

On Sept 28th The Wall Street Journal ran an op-ed piece entitled "Why the Left is consumed with hate". It is really a good article, and helped me understand their hatred of us. But to denigrate The Commander in Chief's dog is low.....even for them.........FWB

Seems strange to try and be so divisive about a patriot who if nothing else strove to lessen the divide between the right and the left!
Rest in peace commander in chief you'r work is done! His faith is now sight!!!

Disgusting is the word that comes to mind! Or at least all I would say her in mixed company.

Their complaint is that he only had Sully for 6 months. I'm pretty sure we all know if you spend 6 months with a PET dog they have a bond with you, let alone a working dog whom you rely on heavily.

Just further proves the insanity of the left.

How can they be so stupid, I have bonds with dogs which are not even mine.
