I just wanted to say thank you to the regulars on this forum for maintaining a tone of civility and sportsmanship. I have been watching a few other forums and the amount of insults and hostility that seems to develop in almost every post is depressing.

Even when there have been disagreements the tone is very civil. It's odd how a Internet forum can develop a culture and I think everyone can appreciate that this one is a positive distraction from our daily routine.
Keep up the good work.

Yes indeed. :thumb:

best website by far.You can give your comments and still remain friendly.People on this site really like to help and not think there right no matter what.Great site and great people all around

I think it a very civil website.

great trying to stay positive...and informative...helpful...

As a group we all share the responsibility to help keep it that way...

Like in any of life's pursuits each of us has their own idea and opinion on what is best or works. I believe we are each are all entitled to that opinion without someone paying out on you for expressing it. Besides, constructive debates on any particular subject adds spice to any forum as long as it remains civil.

That is what makes this site so great. Healthy debate sometimes (rarely) but it's always done with class and thought. No personal jabs here.

I'll tell you what makes this site so great to me, as stated you are allowed to have an opinion and be able to discuss it without being slamed THANKS! if you have a question you can feel free to ask and the members and founder of this site will go out of their way to get you the answer, and last but not less are all the friends you have on this site from all over the world without having even met them. Again Thanks

I fully concur. Constructive debate and civility are dying in this world, and it is gratifying to find a forum where they still survive. In a way, it is not surprising that it is on a safari forum. Safari hunters (can't count myself in yet) are an endangered species, too, and possibly one of the last groups where simple manners are still practiced as a matter of course. Thanks, and keep the spirit!

Tim thats where your wrong you can count yourself if I'm not mistaken A safari ( /səˈfɑri/) is an overland journey and I see you've traveled to other places to hunt.

Rastaman,

You hit the nail on the head. I am a member of a couple other forums and unfortunately, even though I still frequent them, I hardly ever post due to the "un-civil" acts of a few bad apples. To be honest, I have been on this forum for a couple years now and am still a little gun-shy but it is not due to what I have seen on here, but other sites.

Keep up the good work fellas (and ladies too).

I would agree. Everyone here is and has been very helpful. That is why I am still arround and why I will continue to monitor this forum. Everyone here is great!

Thanks, Bob. The truth is - I have hunted where I lived, I just lived in many countries. I DID leave a lot of shoe leather especially in NZ, though, as stalking is my preferred way to hunt, so that may count for something...

I think Jerome sets the tone for a gentlemanly and intelligent website, which is a real pleasure to belong to.

Keep it up !

And.............as my Father always told me 'Manners Maketh Man'

Good mannered people, always trying to help, some discussions, but with respect, this is a nice place to be.

I too echo the thoughts of this being a very civil website. Very few seem to make a discussion personal. We all have opinions and can have different ideas, but we seem to get along pretty darn good as a group. I for one would little problem hunting with virtually anyone on here. Keep it up. Bruce

Well done you've told it the way it is! Thanks Jerome...you're a gentleman! :)

Thanks for noticing.

Yes, it becomes a sickness and makes you think twice to post anything or put up your point of view which in the other hand lowers your forum activity.
I know of a couple of hunters who read the forums but who are too afraid to join due to the fights and I dont blame them either.

I hope that everyone will have a great festive season and that the best 0f 2011 will be the worst for 2012 and hope to see some of you rifle in hand a grin in the face when we are stalking after a trophy. :clapping:

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
