I recently acquired a Savage 29A a 22 LR Pump (circa 1939-1940) the scope mount is drilled into the side of action which was typical of the day. The scope has a 3/4" dia, tube and is cloudy. I tried adjusting it at the range a couple of days ago but didn't have any luck. I then removed the base and scope. I tried using the factory irons and had some luck but I'm looking for something better. The tang is drilled and tapped which I'm assuming was for a tang sight. The problem I'm having is in finding a replacement. Marble doesn't list one in their catalog. I was hoping that a sight for another rifle would work. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I go from here?
