I just saw an article in American Hunter where Swift is coming out with their own line of ammo, featuring.......you guessed it.........Swift bullets.

No word yet if Taylor Swift will be the company's spokesperson or do commercials for the new company.

Here's a video on the product roll out

It makes common sense to me. Build you company up, using your own products.

They were taking orders for their ammo at SCI.

@ActionBob , did they ever deliver? I can't recall.

good news for sure I use Swifts for my 404 loads

No they did not.... As Royal knows, I placed a large order for various A Frame and the new solid factory loads with Swift at SCI. Calibers ranging from 9.3x62 to 505 Gibbs. Have not heard or seen anything yet.

Used Scirocco in Namibia last yr..All recovered bullets looked just like ads...These suckers penetrate and I would use them on anything..Does help if you can hit bone with them.

good news , but I can guess that they will be pricey

Judging by the video, they appear to be trying to hold costs down because that is a pretty low budget roll out.

They told me the tips on the new solids are very expensive as they had been machining them. They were trying to get them made much cheaper.... I wonder if that is the main holdup?

A quote from the American Hunter article:

"Most loadings will be available from retailers and online sellers in August.”

I wish this was already out!

I load all my own but I do think it is a good thing for those that do not load their own. Great bullets.

Does anyone know anything about the solids? Are they homogeneous?

the solids are designed a bit like Woodliegh Hydro Solids but more narrow at the nose.. Look line they should feed much better. I know they shot a lot of elephant in Zim with them testing them with claimed very good results.

Sako uses them in there 500 Jeffery A-frame 535 gr ammo

Update and again some apparent delays: Found this on Midway, USA. I also went to Hendershot's website and checked what they charge for their custom ammo with the same 400 grain Swift A-Frame. Hendershot's is a fair amount cheaper ($140 vs. $163 for the 404 Jeff) and their quality is great.

Also compared:
458 Win Mag w/ 500 gr A-F: $115 vs $155 (Hendershot's vs. Swift)
9.3x62 w/ 286 gr A-F: $80 vs $87.

That's great news. I was just on the phone yesterday with Superior Ammo about loading some 300 gr swift AFrames for me for hopefully my buffalo hunt next year. Will be interesting to see who will be cheaper.
