Strictly 250GR for Cape Buffalo?

I have a dentist friend from the Atlanta, Georgia area who has killed 13 cape buffalo bulls with his own handloads with 250 grain Barnes X bullets in the 9.3x62 mostly one shot kills and all were drama free. He has also used a RWS bullet in the same cartridge with good results on a few bulls.

The 250 grain TSX in the 9.3 will out penetrate the various 286 grain lead core bullets.

My own Steyr SM 12 uses 250 grain TSX bullets that chronograph 2700 fps.

The difference between full power loads in the 9.3x62 and the classic 375 H&H loads is conversational on game up to the size of cape buffalo. For a noticeable increase in power, one must step up to a 416.
I have got 9.3 x74 r and my daddy 375.We have hunt all african game without problem.I have saw an amount of buffalo shoot by other caliber up to 500 jeffery without see any difference ...for accuracy the one solo buffalo anchored on the spot has been by 9.3x62 and premium bullet by one of my known hunter. It has been frontal chest shot

It will penetrate well in either a .318 Westley Richards or a .338 Winchester Magnum (where legal to use on Cape buffalo). But sectional density is too poor on a .375 caliber cartridge.

This the solo video between hundred which I have saw and found were a cape buffalo has been anchored by one single shot 9.3x62 premium bullet on frontal chest shot. The other ones by every caliber up to 500 jeffery inclusive ,has been put down on the spot by brain /spine shot only all times!

Sorry ,but video is for the majority in italian language.So... the old buffalo cow ,has been shot at 40 yds ca.(frontal chest shot)It has go down almost on the spot and u can hear cleary the typical death buffalo mou.Very indeed!

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
