I bought the blaze orange one looking for a replacement for a crappy hat. Little did I know I would become a cultist to the brand! Anyone else?

Yep, camoflauge and blaze orange, my wife has a grey one with a flower on it and my grandkids have kid size ones, it helps when the factory and showroom are nearby, they will also do custom embroidery ones.

Pictures?

I would love too, but I got every thing packed away, I am in the final stages of building my house and getting ready to move in while living frugally in temporary quarters. My orange one might still be at camp, when I get things situated I will get some pictures up but it’ll be awhile

I have a number of Kromer hats, plus other clothing and gear they produce.

They are based out of my home town in Ironwood, Michigan.

I currently live about 10 miles from their factory and just recently bought some goods during their annual tent clearance sale. I snagged a wool vest for my dad as a Xmas present, and picked up a few prototype oilskin canvas duffle bags and some chopper mitts all for greatly reduced prices.

The Stormy Kromer hats are very popular with Montana elk guides.

Stormy Daniels was apparently very popular with The Donald. :A Stirring:

One for the top of your head and one goes on your face?

I have one in the 9.3x62 that is my bear rifle. Shoots under an inch with 286 grain thumper bullets. Great rifles.

I unfortunately inherited the old mans hat in March of 2020, Swarovski hat pin included. Wish I could make just one more hunt with him!

Amazingly enough, mine is also sub MOA (with 150 grn Rem core lockts no less!)

The first year I had it, I hunted with just open sights and at 75 yards I could do half inch groups from a bench. I thought that was pretty impressive for a full length stock. Then when I put a scope on it, it blew me away. They are great rifles and it's a shame they are no longer made. One of the best buys for a quality rifle there was.

I've had this rifle for about 13 years now and have taken a decent number of deer with it.

I have 3 Kromers.

1. A Leinenkugels blaze orange wool (that actually doesn’t fit because my head is beyond their biggest standard size.
2. A waxed canvas blaze orange that I’ve been able to use a hat stretcher on and get to sorta fit.
3. A blaze orange Rancher with the full ear flaps. I keep it on a hat stretcher and it fits ok. But it is so warm I can’t hardly stand it until the temp goes below zero F.

Really fantastic pieces. I just wish I could get them in a larger size.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
