SOUTH AFRICA: Night Critters & Small Cats With Kemp African Safaris

Yep, one mighty fine red hartebeest! What an excellent ending to a fine safari!
Thanks for sharing an exciting adventure!

Fantastic ending!

Enjoyed the read all the way through! Congrats on a great trip!

That was a fantastic report, I really enjoyed it! I can definitely see the appeal in that type of hunt after night hunting for a porcupine last year. However the sleeping in the blind factor with the risk of snoring never occurred to me.....and I can really sound like a bear everyone likes to tell me!
I am always amazed at the talent so many members have in the writing of these hunt reports. You’re on that list!

Great hunt, Mort. Some fine critters! Takes a lot of fortitude to spend that much time in a blind, night after night. Looks like it paid off big.

Great hunt and write up, makes me want to go back sooner than next September.

Thank you Mort for the great report.

That was a great hunt Mort, congrats !

Congrats again on your night hunt, it’s something you won’t forget about! I still think of the hunt with Matt, Dawie and Marco! Great memories!

Thank you for sharing your hunt with us and again, congratulations!

Very cool trip. Thanks for sharing!

Very cool trip. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for reading. This hunt is like 5 mini-leopard hunts at a fraction of the cost. A supremely rewarding hunt for animals that not a lot of hunters see, much less hunt. No, there is no ka-bu-bi and being carried around on a chair and celebrated when you return to camp with your trophy, but the sense of accomplishment and the value and memory of the experience is quite the same.

Great report. Enjoyed it very much. May have to return and try a similar hunt

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
