This is my second trip to hunt with Jono McHugh and it won’t be my last. Jono is one of the hardest hunters I have been around. He won’t stop until you have the animals you come for. Jono has some of the best properties at his disposal that I have ever seen. All with different terrains and animals. He has a different place for each day of the week plus a few. We arrived at Lynn and Lionel’s property the first day and immediately went scouting. We saw lots of animals and the main one on my hit list, kudu. I have been chasing the elusive grey ghost for 2 years, and on this trip, my chase is over. We were able to put a stalk on an old bull the second day I arrived. What a way to start the trip. We went after a sable a few hours away the next day and were successful again. The last animal I wanted for my son, a wand after a miss, I got one the next to the last day.

The food, scenery and most of all the people are what makes this place hard to leave and easy to return to. Hunting is not to bad either. I have become more like family with Jono, Justine and their kids than him just being a PH. If you are looking for some amazing hunting with a great buddy in South Africa, you have to give Jono a look. He won’t disappoint.

Welcome to AH! Congrats on the hunt and thanks for sharing!

It looks like you had a great trip and hunting experience. I have also hunted with Kingsview Safaris and Jono and had a great experience. Looking forward to hunting with Jono in the future.

Way to go. When people return to hunt multiple times with the same outfitters it is the ultimate referral! I’m glad to hear of your safari. I’m going to Namibia in April and your hunt is fuel to my fire. Thanks

Congrats on a successful safari, thanks for the report
