This was truly a hunt of a lifetime, it took Ricus and I 4 years to put this trip together with something coming up every year to throw another years delay into it but i finally got there. Ricus and his staff looked after everything perfectly to give me an experience i will never forget. Unfortunately for my wife and bank account and true to what most had told me i am already planning my next trip ( i have been home for a week lol ). From the well appointed camps to the abundance and quality of game the trip was fantastic, i really cant think of anything negative to add (besides my shooting). Thank you Ricus and White lion Safaris for delivering exactly what you had promised and more!

Thanks for sharing, love that buff!!

those are a nice bunch of animals. That copper springbuck is a very good one and the buff speaks for itself. Glad the long wait was worth it in the end for you.

Congrats on the safari, thanks for sharing! Nice looking trophies

Congratulations on your successful hunt.
Persistence made the day.

Great looking trophies. Are you going to try for a white springbuck on your next safari to round out the collection?

Also, congrats on that buff!

Now your talking.....a second trip in the works! I like it!

Awesome bunch of trophies! I'll be over there July 6th with Ricus. Can't wait!!!

Congratulations! Looks like you had a great time. Ricus & White Lion Safaris are top notch.

Congratulations on your hunt. Thanks for posting.

I'm no expert, but that's a darn good looking buff! Congrats on a great hunt!

Congrats on a great hunt, and thanks for sharing !

Very nice trophies, I like the cape buffalo a lot!

I had the opportunity to take a white but i don't put to much value on "slams" so i passed on the white, plus i was working with somewhat of a budget lol. Having said that i kind of regret not taking one now. But thats what return trips are for.

Thanks! And yes the copper is a stud! The buff was killed by my buddy who was with me, he was 41" with awesome bosses!

You got some beautiful animals!!!! I'm glad the trip was worth the wait!

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
