Good day fellow AH members,
I'm writing this so everyone here will know the amazing job @DAVE FREEBURN SAFARIS does for his clients. When my wife and I decided to take 1 on 1 trips with our 2 daughters this summer we weren't planning on spending too much money. When I asked my younger daughter, 11 yrs old, where she wanted to go with me, she said to Africa where "you and mommy went". I had come across Dave's 10 animals 10 nights Sable hunt here on AH for an incredible price, especially considering the 2 sables. My previous outfitter was high-end luxury and that was too much for our father/daughter trip. I researched around a bit and couldn't find a bad word about Dave, so I decided to book it. It turned out to be a fantastic decision. My daughter got a bit skittish behind the 30-06 which was bigger than her .223 back home, so she ended up not shooting but still says it was the time of her life. Throughout the trip, Dave worked with her in her setup and confidence and even broke out his .22 to let her build up her confidence. He spent the middays working with her, away from me, so she wouldn't perceive me being there as her "disappointing" me. He went above and beyond with her to ensure she had a good time and that made the whole trip worth it, just getting to experience Limpopo, right on the Botswana border, with my daughter. It is a trip she will never forget for sure. On top of his patient and caring nature, Dave is a true hustler when it comes to hunting. We did 90% spot and stalk and he's hard to keep up with, his motor never stops. He will not let his hunters down. We were able to take 2 sable (44.5" and 41.5"), 2 zebra, impala, white flanked impala, blue wildebeest, and a warthog all with the 30-06. Then he went above and beyond, and even spilled his own blood, to help me get the darkest giraffe bull we've ever seen with my bow. It was one of the most thrilling hunts I've been on, continuously trying to position for a frontal shot with my 920grain meat missile. But as always with Dave, mission accomplished. He rounded out the hunting trip with a cull sable female with a beautiful hide, also with my bow. And let me not forget his constant phone calls and using his vast network of contacts to get my bow, which the airline lost, delivered to us just in the nick of time before our giraffe hunt. After 8 days of hunting, Dave was kind enough to play chauffer and drive my daughter and I to an elephant interaction park and then bring us to Sun City to stay a couple nights where we did hot air ballooning and zip lining and just enjoyed the time together. I will view this as one of the best trips of my life, and I can honestly say that without Dave's hard work, it may have turned out differently. His camps are modest and humble, his food and drink are superior, and his hunting is first class. He was even able to bring us to a rhino darting as his ranch was sending a couple 3yr olds to the Jo'burg zoo. Ill finish by thanking AH for all the info on building my heavy big game arrows and for introducing me to Dave. We are already planning a Zim leopard hunt for 2023. Dave, Sam and I thank you so much and we will sing your praises for a long time to come.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
