Just got back from my first ever plains game hunt near Thabazimbi, Limpopo RSA. I hunted with Johann Combrink and Numzaan Safaris. Could not have expected a more awesome experience. Shot 7 trophy animals and can honestly say Africa has sunk her hooks in deep...already starting to look into Zimbabwe for buffalo......Here are a few pics.

Cape eland - 36 1/2" 2 full days of stalking on foot culminated in this guy. Had 2 others in my sights but never clear shot with too many cows.....thankfully this one came along.

36 1/4" bull

Waterbuck - just shy of 30" (29 5/8")

Kudu - my only disappointment and really not even one at that. Just a good excuse to shoot a better one next time!

Random rhino and calf shot from one of the 20,000+ acre properties we hunted.

Blesbok - 18"

Puff adder..... 1st of 2 we encountered. At least we didn't see any mambas. I hate snakes.......

Glad to hear you had a nice safari, I got to meet your outfitter when they were at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI in February. Really like your eland and waterbuck!

Congrats on some very fine trophies. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
