Hello,

we have completed our second family safari in the Eastern Cape. The 3 of us were on a management hunt for 6 days and took 11 animals. The mountain rheebuck was on trophy hunt, he is awesome.

We had a great time.

And here are the pictures that the 3 of us keep on our smartphones, for the sad days without hunting.

I will post videos links later, we have the footage of all the hunted animals.

Looks like you had a great time, Hervé, congratulations !

That Mt Rheebuck is really nice.

well done herve , and co,
the mountain reed buck is a hooter .

Nice background country in some of those pictures.
You have to keep those pictures on your phone.

A proud proud hunter in each of those phots, good hunting and congratulations @herve747

Where exactly in the East Cape did you hunt? I almost recognise that farm in the background of the Reedbuck photo.:sneaky:
I miss home.

it looks like your 9.3x62 was working well

Hi spike. This year it was a 308 win standard barrel on my R8, with Remington Hoghammer Barnes TSX 168 grains. I turned to a smaller caliber because I save half a kilog on the rifle vs the 9.3x62 semi weight barrel and a kick stop in the stock. This time we hunted in the mountains and it was worth saving some weight.

We were 2 hour drive north of East London, in Pine Pienaar Glacis Game Farm.
PH was Jeremy "Happy feet" Scheepers, a fantastic guy.
Outfitter was the same as last year: grand-Safari.

Was good to have you guys back with us in RSA, see you again next year ;-)

That is a spectacular mountain reedbuck, congrats I'm jealous!

Further proof that it is all about the experience!!! It sure seems that "management" hunter smiles are just as big as "trophy" hunter smiles! Love it...

Nice trophies sir

You are a good husband to your wife and a good father to your children.
