Smith & Wesson firearms is moving to Maryville, Tennessee (Near Knoxville)

If that was the true, Remington who doesn’t reside in Connecticut, would have made it out of the sandy hook lawsuit, but they didn’t.
I get your point - valid comment. There is nothing “simple” about Politics or the Law but both are considered in major relocations by successful companies. Also, regarding Remington/Connecticut/Sandy Hook — had Remington been located in CT their business could’ve been further “targeted” by the Governor of CT (public health hazard, increased code enforcement, OSHA investigations, EPA etc..) and Governor would scored Big points with his voter base by making Remington’s business “difficult”. Yes, I’m speculating but I’m not out of the Ball Park on possible consequences.

In regards to S&W, the move is pushed due to financial reasons . Cost of manufacturing in the northeast is the most expensive in the country minus parts of California. That said, some of the manufacturing just can’t move due to the talent pool in the new location. Only a small percentage is moving with the company leaving a huge amount of new, inexperienced staff trying learn a skilled trade. Firearm manufacturing is a huge part of my business and unfortunately, experienced tradesmen are quickly disappearing almost crippling company’s ability to manufacture.

As I understand it, some manufacturing is remaining in Springfield due to existing machinery and the cost of moving it. Specifically, the forging machines are quite large, quite old, and very hard to duplicate. It isn't like just buying a new CNC machine.

Correct, very much a big part of why some of the company needs to remain. Existing machine service and engineering support is also close by which wouldn’t be the case in Maryville.

Funny enough, I also have a customer in the center of Maryville and know the town well. Knoxville is a neat town, they love their Nashville hot chicken.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
