I have this 1870s 10 bore single rifle made by Joseph Lang & Son, 22 Cockspur Street.. They had this adress 1852 - 1874..

But how common are single bore rifles..? I have seen an 8 bore from Holland & Holland and Selous had one (two..?) single 4 bores..a buddy has a single 8 bore from german firm Imman Meffert.. But I think by far most bore rifles came as doubles..for DG hunting..

Anyone..?

A 12 bore rifle is on my gotta have list. They're, to me, the epitome of the gunmakers art.

The singles are nearly as common for some reason.
I traded a builder a double rifle I had to build me a copy of a Greener single 8 bore that was featured in an issue DGJ several years ago. He couldn't get it built in the time frame that we agreed upon so that never panned out. I'd still love to have one.

@Pondoro that looks like a great rifle, could you do some more pics & info on it please ?

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?
