Anyone have one of these scopes? I've never bought Sig optics before, just wondering what people thought of them. Had the opportunity to pick up the 2-12x40 for a decent price (about half of MSRP)
Saw them listed on Europtic's site. That said, I am pretty sure these are a Sig Sauer USA (Oregon) initiative (a subsidiary of Sig Sauer Gmbh). Very competitive price with similar offerings from Leupold, Leica's lower end, and the Conquest line. Would be interesting to know who makes the lenses and where the scopes are assembled . I can't find that in any of the advertising which leads me to guess somewhere other than Germany or Austria - I suspect Japan or China. I know no one who has one yet. Their site does promote a lifetime guarantee similar to Leupold's.
I believe they are made in Japan, from what I've found anyways. I found one for under $1k, which is several hundred cheaper than I could find anywhere else for the 2-12
